You really have to be able to fit in around these parts it's a community of first name basis everybody knows everybody and if you're not from around there you will get noticed. I have always had good service there it's the others usually that kind of make you feel like an outsider. And it's not about what you know it's about who you know ......

This place has a unique feel and vibe. Food was pretty good. I got the rib eye and my wife got the fish and chips. My steak was supposed to be medium but it was a little on the raw side. I didn't mind but for those who haven't been here keep that in mind. It was still good! It was very busy and they seemed a little short staffed so this may have had a roll in how our dinner went. Hopefully we can come back on a slower night.

I had the burger and tots. Tots were good. The burger was delicious . Ranch sauce was good. We were in a group of six, by an old fireplace. The place is sectioned in half. A restaurant and a lounge. The lounge had video poker. Looks like it would be a good place for traditional poker because of the atmosphere. Food was reasonably priced. Friday night they have prime rib and Wednesday all you can eat fish and chips. I may check it out later. There is a quaint little old fashioned store right next to it. Wasn't to busy on Sunday afternoon.

The vibe in here made us feel at home, the meal was extremely tasty and filling, more than enough. Our servers were kind and made us feel very welcome, recommending dessert locations and helping us find other places to visit while in the area.

We ordered a burger and fries and a Reuben sandwich and tater tots. Service was excellent! The burger charbroil tasted excellent. The Reuben sandwich was equally good. Presentation of both lunches was lacking. Fries and tater tots were good, but not five stars. The restaurant was very clean throughout.

** Macleay Country Inn: Where Cows Probably Hang Out for Lunch Too** Listen up, hungry humans and possibly well-mannered cattle—Macleay Country Inn is the kind of place where the vibe is so country, you half-expect the walls to start line dancing. And let me tell you, if you’re not here on a Sunday afternoon, you’re basically missing out on the unofficial *"Let’s Pretend We’re All Cowboys"* convention. First off, the burgers? **Good.** Like, *"I should probably order a second one just to make sure they’re consistently good"* good. No fancy foam or edible gold here—just honest, juicy, *"I’ll deal with the napkin situation later"* deliciousness. The real star, though, is the atmosphere. It’s like stepping into a time machine set to *"Cozy Ranch Mode."* Wood everywhere (tables, chairs, probably the air), a fireplace that’s basically giving you a warm hug, and enough rustic charm to make you question why you ever eat in places with white tablecloths. Bonus points? They’ve got **bingo nights** (because nothing says *"country inn"* like yelling "B-12!" while eating a burger) and live music that may or may not inspire an impromptu two-step. Parking’s easy, the WiFi exists (but let’s be real, you’re here to unplug and enjoy the *"no rush"* energy), and the staff treats you like family—assuming your family is the kind that brings you food and doesn’t ask about your life choices. **Bottom line:** If you want a Sunday lunch that feels like a hug from the countryside, Macleay’s got you covered. Just don’t blame me if you leave with a sudden urge to buy a cowboy hat.
